"There’s a romance on how the fresh fruit is placed on the breakfast plate. I always say to my guests “Food is more nourishing if it’s served beautifully”. They smile. I find beauty in the everyday dish and silverware, oysters on a plate, champagne in a silver bucket, just picked flowers from my garden, or the cozy interiors of homes and antique shops, especially chandelier shops in Italy! There’s beauty all around us everyday and I get super excited about putting my reaction to that on canvas." - Karen
